Acupuncture and IVF
It’s now well known that acupuncture can increase the success of IVF by 40-60%. Firstly acupuncture helps with the side effects from the drugs used with IVF. IVF causes kidney deficiency and acupuncture can be used to offset this factor. Acupuncture also helps to keep stress low, enabling you to feel more able to cope emotionally throughout your IVF.
During egg collection and implantation acupuncture is very supportive, by stabilising Qi energy flow it helps to smooth out physical and emotional imbalances that happen as a result of the invasive techniques used during IVF.
We now work in conjunction with Chris Dance at The Acupuncture clinic for our Acupuncture service. Chris is very experienced with the application of acupuncture for fertility issues and women's health.
